Walter founded Deepwoods over 20 years ago with nothing but a borrowed push mower, a strong back, and a simple goal:

to serve his community with honest work, done right.

He started at 25 alongside his brother-in-law, knocking on doors, cutting grass, and slowly building a reputation for reliability and care. Over the years, what began as a small lawn care hustle grew into one of the most trusted names in Southwest Louisiana landscaping.

Today, Walter leads a team that handles everything from expert design and drainage solutions to yard leveling, bed installations, and full-service maintenance. If it’s outside — Deepwoods does it, and does it well.

But the mission hasn’t changed.

Walter is a God-fearing, family-loving, community-serving entrepreneur who still believes in shaking hands, calling people back, and leaving every yard cleaner than he found it. He understands that not everyone has the time, tools, or know-how to create a beautiful landscape — and that’s where Deepwoods comes in.
